A MAJOR city centre street is closed due to a traffic incident.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area of Bothwell Street in Glasgow due to an accident.
Cops are currently on the scene.
A traffic information bulletin issued at 8.27am read: "Bothwell Street is currently closed to all traffic at Douglas Street due to an earlier accident.
"Police are currently in attendance and road users should consider alternate routes."

A tweet from Traffic Scotland at 8.19am also shows traffic tailing back near the incident.
Officers confirmed that they had issued one driver with a fixed penalty notice after a two-car crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving two cars on Bothwell Street, Glasgow, around 5.45am on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“One driver was issued with a fixed penalty notice and recovery was arranged.”
Update: Bothwell Street has now re-opened.
