In the running for the Tory leadership - and thus the Prime Ministership - one real question has kept coming up: just who are these people?

The Conservative party were left in a sticky situation after a number of resignations followed by PM Boris Johnson announcing he too would step down once a new leader is decided.

With a number of potential candidates dropping out along the way, the race for leadership has narrowed down to Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, Kemi Badenoch, Penny Mordaunt, and Tom Tugendhat.

Party members will vote to elect the new leader, who will then become Prime Minister of the UK.
