THE BRAND new Virgin hotel in Glasgow is now taking bookings as its opening date is confirmed.

The hotel, the first of its kind in the city, is located on the banks of the River Clyde and will feature 240 rooms across 15 floors. 

The Glasgowist shared some photos of the stunning river view on social media ahead of the highly-anticipated opening. 

They are taking bookings from December 1, 2022.

Guests will have plenty of options for eating and drinking, with four choices depending on their mood.

The Commons Club is Virgin Hotels’ flagship restaurant and bar, while the Highyard is ideal for entertaining, co-working and dining.

Funny Library Coffee Shop will give guests a caffeine fix in a quirky setting, while Rocks is an elegant, late-night bar. 

Those wanting to treat themselves to a more luxurious stay can book into one of the hotel's suites. 

 

Sir Richard’s Flat, named after Virgin mogul Branson, features a personal bar, a games table, and is decorated musically in reference to Virgin’s heritage.

Meanwhile, Lady B’s Flat is inspired by and named after Richard’s Glaswegian wife Joan and features a large, curved bath.

Finally, guests can try the Moroccan-inspired Kasbah Tamadot Suite – named after Virgin Limited Edition’s property in Morocco.

This suite features hand-carved heritage wood panels and a bathroom decorated with Moroccan-style tiles.
