A CAR has been deliberately set alight in a targeted attack on a quiet street.
Emergency services were called to Academy Street in Larkhall at around 1am on Wednesday, July 20.
There a black Mini Cooper was found in flames.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze and there were no injuries.
Now officers have launched a probe and are scouring CCTV footage from near the area to track down who is responsible.
Detective Constable Christine McLanachan, of Cambuslang CID, said: “Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of this incident.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or has private CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101, quoting incident number 0213 of July 20.”
