Dozens of people gathered in Alexandra Park on Saturday for the return of a long-awaited community event.

The free Alexandra Park Festival welcomed residents any anyone who was interested on Saturday at the East End green space.

Families could enjoy live music, food, stalls, activities such as face painting, balloon modeling, live wrestling and more.

Children also had the opportunity to sit in a real police car and fire engine and climb on a vintage bus from the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust.

Following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, locals were overjoyed to be able to come together once again and the event was a big success.
