Three suspects are accused of shooting a man in a murder bid.

Harley Vance, 19, Fraser Stewart, 18, and a 17-year-old boy allegedly assaulted Ryan Elliott in Glasgow's Barlanark on September 25, last year.

Court papers claim the trio repeatedly discharged a handgun or similar item at him and shot him on the body on a public footpath.

This is said to have been done to Mr Elliott's severe injury, permanent disfigurement, permanent impairment, to the danger of life and attempted murder.

The three suspects are also accused of disposing the firearm as well as the clothing used and worn in the attack.

The charge states they went on to induce their family members to falsely claim to police that they had information that another person was responsible for the attack.

It is said this was done to defeat the ends of justice and attempted to defeat the ends of justice.

Further charges from the same day claim Stewart had a firearm or imitation firearm in his possession in order to cause Mr Elliott and Charlene Fraser to believe unlawful violence would be used against them.

Stewart is also accused of having the firearm and ammunition for it in a public place without a reasonable excuse or lawful authority.

It is claimed they shouted, swore and uttered threats.

Vance and Stewart are separately accused of breaching their bail without a reasonable excuse or lawful authority.

A trial was set for August next year by Judge Lord Fairley.
