A LANE situated near the city's plush style mile has been sealed off by cops this afternoon.
Police are currently guarding Mitchell Lane in the city centre after an incident took place.
Several sources have told the Glasgow Times that someone has been assaulted.
A Police Scotland spokesperson would only confirm a disturbance had taken place.
Mitchell Lane sits between Buchanan Street and Mitchell Street. Several police cars have been pictured along Mitchell Street while officers stand guard on either side of the lane.
The force spokesperson said: "Police were called around 4.15pm to a report of a disturbance at Mitchell Lane. Officers are at the scene."
