A city centre bar has shared the recipe for what they describe as the 'ultimate Glasgwegian' boozy milkshake.

Keeping customers cool as the sun shines on the city, the Boom Battle Bar in the St Enoch Centre has concocted a cocktail of Buckfast, tequila rose, strawberry, vanilla ice cream, and grenadine.

Dubbed the 'Just Fast, Not Furious', the shake is described as a celebration of Glasgow's heritage with its creators saying: "Italy has limoncello, Spain - Sangria, Ireland is home to Guinness, and Glasgow? Buckfast."

Jack Harrison, owner of Boom Battle Bar in St. Enoch Centre, added: “Just Fast, Not Furious was created in homage to Glasgow, our home since March.

"We love the city and our customers here and wanted to celebrate our Buckfast heritage!

"It tastes phenomenal, will give you plenty of energy and has a sweet kick, Just Fast, Not Furious is the perfect complement to a battle at Boom Battle Bar.”

The Just Fast, Not Furious cocktail is available now at the Boom Battle Bar where you can try your hand at activities like Crazy Golf, Beer Pong or Shuffleboard as you sip.

  • Blend milk, vanilla ice cream, strawberry puree, fresh strawberries, and some grenadine together.
  • Blend tequila rose and Buckfast together, and then add to the ice cream drink.
  • Top with cream and sprinkles for the ultimate guilty pleasure.
