CREATORS of Irvine Welsh's Crime TV drama are looking for Glasgow tenements ahead of filming for season two.

Some residents in Dennistoun have received a letter from the production's location manager telling them they are looking for properties "such as yours" as a filming location.

The letter states those who allow their home to be used will be paid a location fee, though the amount is not disclosed.

Each property will be used for an average of one to two days when filming takes place from late August to late November.

The letter read: "I am the location manager for the second series of a TV drama to be filmed in west and central Scotland towards the end of the year, entitled Crime.

"We are looking for properties such as yours, for which we would pay a location fee."

It continued: "Like the first series (which is available to stream on BrtiBox), the second season of Crime is a six-part police drama featuring characters from Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh's 2008 novel of the same title and based on his forthcoming novel The Long Knives.

"With a script co-written by Welsh, Crime features a cast led by Dougray Scott, Ken Stott and Joanna Vanderham."

Although the drama is set in Edinburgh, some filming for series one of Crime also took place in Glasgow.

In May last year, crews were spotted shooting scenes at the Wyndford Estate in Maryhill.
