A FRESH appeal has been launched to trace a pensioner who has been missing for almost a month. 

Patrick Harvey, 69, from Kilsyth, was last seen in the area around 10pm on Saturday, July 2.

Police say it would be out of character for him to be away from home long and the man's relatives are growingly increasingly concerned.

He is described as white, 6ft 1in tall and of slim build with grey hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and grey trainers.

Patrick is believed to have travelled by train from Glasgow Central Train Station to Blackpool at around 9.30am on Sunday, July 3.

Following further enquiries, police believe that Patrick was in the Bolton area on Wednesday, July 13.

Now, four weeks on from his disappearance, police in Lanarkshire think the pensioner might be in Bridlington, Humberside, and are re-appealing for public assistance in tracing him.

Sergeant Pamela McFarlane, of Cumbernauld Police Station, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace Patrick. 

"It is out of character for him to be away for so long and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare."

Anyone with information about Patrick’s whereabouts, or that may assist police, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 1051 of July 4, 2022.
