A Glasgow restaurant that's loved by celebrities will soon host its first curry quiz night for charity.

Mr Singh's on Elderslie Street is well known for its impressive list of famous visitors over the years which ranges from Billy Connolly to Kanye West.

Now, the world-renowned Indian restaurant is inviting you to put your general knowledge skills to the test as you dine with a series of special quiz events in aid of armed forces charity SSAFA.

Mr Singh said: “Mr Singh’s India is delighted to be supporting SSAFA and the fantastic work it does.

"Since we signed the Armed Forces Covenant, we have had the humble honour of working with MoD and SSAFA on various initiatives and look forward to continuing our partnership with the monthly curry and quiz evenings.”

Tickets for the event are priced at £27.50 per person and include entry into the quiz, a donation to SSAFA and a four-course meal.

"We’re delighted to be hosting our monthly curry and quiz events in the famous Mister Singh’s India Glasgow and, in fact, I can’t think of no better location to kick off our community fundraising events here in Scotland.

“We’re really keen to make SSAFA more widely known within Scotland and what better way than partnering with this incredible restaurant that is so well known throughout the UK as the first stop for many celebrities when they visit Glasgow.”

The curry quiz night is open to all and will go on to run on the last Thursday of each month.

The first event will take place at 7:30 pm on Thursday, August 25.
