A MAN was left with "serious facial injuries" as a result of an attack in Airdrie.
A 39-year-old man was rushed to University Hospital Monklands for treatment after being attacked in the Luing area of the town, near Varnsdorf Way on Monday, August 1.
The assault took play in broad daylight, around 4.15pm.
Detectives are now appealing for information and witnesses as enquiries are ongoing to trace the attacker.

Detective Constable David Forde, of Coatbridge CID, said: "This incident saw a man sustain a serious facial injury and it is vital we trace the individual responsible.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.
"I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something suspicious to contact us.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone with potential private CCTV, dashcam or video doorbell footage."
