A MAN is accused of staring at and recording people in a communal area near his flat.

John Quinn, 56, allegedly behaved in a threatening or abusive manner in Glasgow's Anniesland between April and September last year.

Court papers claim Quinn repeatedly stood at his window and stared at other neighbours in his flat block when they were using the communal space.

It is stated he pointed a mobile recording device at them as well as installed CCTV to record images of the communal space and the people using it.

The charge goes on to say Quinn wore a mounted body camera which he used to record images of people in the communal space.

Quinn pleaded not guilty this week at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the single charge.

A trial has been fixed for later this month.

Quinn remains on bail meantime.
