After teasing their return last month, the owners of an iconic Glasgow pub have now confirmed that they will be opening again soon.

The Glasgow Times previously reported that The Griffin on Bath street had hinted at a comeback on social media in a post that read simply: "Watch this space #TheGriffinIsBack'."

Tonight, the bar has shared another post saying: "We are back and we are on the hunt for some amazing people to join our team

"We are on the look out for FoH and Duty Managers to come join our fabulous wee team.

If you have experience working in a fast-paced pub then this is the place for you.

"Please send Cvs to info@thegriffinglasgow.co.uk along with a wee bit about yourself and what position you are applying for."

The much-loved boozer has become a local institution since opening in 1903.

In particular, it has proved a hit with theatre-goers due to its prime location near the King's Theatre.

After closing due to covid restrictions in 2020 the pub was put up for let in February this year.
