A REPORT of a man with a knife sparked an emergency response in Glasgow city centre.
The alarm was raised shortly after 7pm on Saturday evening that a male individual was seen carrying the bladed weapon at St Enoch Square.
A police van and ambulance were pictured at the scene.
Cops confirmed that they had responded to the call, but did not trace anyone with a knife.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a man with a knife at St Enoch Square at around 7.10pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
“Officers attended and there was no trace of anyone carrying a knife.”
