A HAUL of cocaine worth thousands of pounds has been seized from a property in Glasgow's East End as part of a joint operation to crack down in the area.
Officers recovered £7000 worth of drugs from a property on London Road on Tuesday, August 9.
They were working in partnership with the National Crime Agency.
A 42-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged offence and is due to appear in court.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
Chief Inspector Greg Roberton, the Local Area Commander for Glasgow East, has spoken out about the operation which was carried out to combat the 'concerning' issue of drugs in the area.
He said: "We know drug misuse is a concern for communities in Glasgow East and beyond.
"This joint working is an example of how we are attempting to remove drugs from communities across Scotland and prevent further distribution of drugs across the country."
