Temperatures are soaring today and people took to city parks to enjoy themselves.

The Botanic Gardens are filled with Glaswegians sunbathing, walking their dogs, and enjoying ice cream.

The mercury rose all the way up to 24°C, forcing locals to find ways to cool down.

It is expected to remain warm for the rest of the week, as a mini-heatwave takes over.

Glasgow Times photographer Gordon Terris visited the green space today to snap some pictures.
