Police have launched a hunt for a 'reckless' firebug who torched a shipping container at a nursery in Paisley last month.
The 'deliberate' fire took place at around 5 pm on Sunday, July 24 and is said to have caused an estimated £23,000 of damage.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were quick to extinguish the blaze at Langcraigs Nursery on Glenfield Road and as a result, no injuries were reported.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses who might be able to assist them in their investigations.
Detective Constable Gordon Hunt said: “Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this reckless act.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area and may have dash-cam footage to contact us.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101, quoting incident 2630 of July 24, 2022. Alternatively, information can be passed to the charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
