A woman is accused of falsely claiming to be pregnant to three ex-lovers.

Jennifer Tait, 36, allegedly stalked the men at properties in Glasgow and Renfrewshire between March 2016 and October 2018.

Court papers state Tait, of Galashiels in the Scottish borders, was blocked by Jeroen Snidjer on social media.

It is claimed Tait created fake accounts and continued to contact him.

The charge states Tait falsely claimed she was pregnant and make repeated false claims that she had an abortion.

Tait allegedly threatened to contact Mr Snidjer's friends and family to convey the false pregnancy news.

She is said to have made demands to speak to him under the pretence of being pregnant and persuaded him to book a trip to Mexico under the pretence of carrying out an abortion.

She is also facing further accusations of creating an online blog and containing false and derogatory information about Mr Snidjer.

Tait is separately said to have pretended to be pregnant to Robert McKinley.

She is said to have told him that she had miscarried and then claimed to have had an abortion with Mr Snidjer.

Tait allegedly went on to threaten to tell Mr McKinley's new partner about the pregnancy and later did so.

Tait is further accused of making fake social media accounts which contained false and derogatory remarks about Mr McKinley.

She is also said to have posted images on social media implying that she gave birth with the intention of Mr McKinley being aware of the post.

A final charge claims that Tait told Adam Harley that she was pregnant with his child then falsely claimed she miscarried and had an abortion.

The allegations include Tait sending a falsified letter of her claims.

Tait is accused of creating social media accounts containing false and derogatory remarks about him.

She is further alleged to have kept tabs on Mr Harley by attending his home, workplace and a football match where he was playing.

Tait denies the three stalking charges at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A further hearing has been fixed for next month.
