Glasgow Life has confirmed that two of its popular sports centres will reopen next month after two years of closure.

Both the Glasgow Club Donald Dewar in Drumchapel and Crownpoint in the city's East End were shut in March 2020 as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.

Glasgow Life has now revealed that the clubs will reopen as of Monday, September 5 offering full health and fitness facilities in addition to the outdoor pitches which are already open.

A range of classes will be on offer at both venues and can be booked up to seven days before the reopening date in September.

Alan Milner, Glasgow Life’s Head of Sport, said: “We’re delighted to confirm the reopening of these well-loved and much-used sporting facilities in Glasgow.

"By reopening these venues, we’re increasing opportunities for people in Glasgow to increase their mental and physical wellbeing by engaging in sport and physical activity, and spending time with and meeting others in a local community facility.”
