Scottish singer Edwyn Collins joined Coldplay at Hampden Park to perform his worldwide smash hit.

The 62-year-old, who celebrated his birthday with the band on Tuesday night, performed A Girl Like You with singer Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, Scots bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion in front of thousands of fans at the national stadium.

The performance comes after the band brought out Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge to sing Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill and Abba's Knowing Me Knowing You at their Wembley Stadium show.

Stormzy, Craig David and Natalie Imbruglia also performed on the stage with the band during their Wembley run.
