A PRISONER has died at Glasgow's Barlinnie.
Alexander Jamieson, 59, died in custody at the East End prison on August 21.
He was sentenced at Glasgow Sheriff Court in 2021.
The Scottish Prison Service confirmed that Police Scotland have been made aware and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
An investigation is underway into Jamieson's death, with a Fatal Accident Inquiry to be held.

A Scottish Prison Service spokesperson said: "Alexander Jamieson, 59, a prisoner from HMP Barlinnie has died on August 21, 2022.
"He was sentenced at Glasgow & Strathkelvin Sheriff Court in 2021.
"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course."
