Still Game star praises 'cracking' new restaurant Nostrana in Glasgow

Sanjeev Kohli, who graced our screens as the loveable shop clerk Navid in the series, sang the praises of a new pizzeria in the city's Hyndland.

The actor and comedian shared his thoughts on Nostrana to his 157,000 plus Twitter followers.

He wrote: "Nostrana. Cracking new Glasgow restaurant. Used to be Pizza Magic. And is still magic."

Joking about the typical Glasgow weather, he added: "As you can see, they’ve even thoughtfully provided their own lake.

"No need though, as the food & the ambience are, I’ll say it again, magic."

Open since September 1, The Glasgow Times recently told the story of the transformation from local institution Pizza Magic to Nostrana under chef Marco Stevenson.

As expected, classic Neapolitan pizza is the star of the menu along with pasta, haddock suppers, mac ‘n’ cheese, loaded fries and salads, plus a new cocktail menu and organic wines.
