Greenock star Martin Compston said he had a celebratory lobster dinner following a huge sponsorship deal, which then fell through.
The Line of Duty actor said he offered to pay for his guests' lobster dinner to celebrate the six-figure offer.
Later, he was informed that the sponsorship was not for his podcast Restless Natives and he was offered it by mistake.
Speaking to the Sun, he said: "The first episode had just come out about an hour or so and agent Nick got in touch to say 'Boys, we've had a big one through the door. A large telecommunications company has been in touch and they would like to sponsor the podcast for a six-figure fee.'
"We were jumping about the living rooms, we had this money in our heads. I thought 'This is far too easy, this is just the beginning.'
"I was in a beautiful part of the world at the time, Glandore down in County Cork, but the lobster and stuff was a bit pricey.
"I was out with seven or eight people and I was due to pick up the cheque anyway but I was like 'Fill your boots team, I've just signed a massive deal for this podcast.'
"I woke up to an email and then a phone call from agent Nick saying 'I'm really sorry boys, they got the wrong podcast.'
"It was a clerical error. It was a tough one to take."
