A DRIVER has fled the scene following a crash in the city's East End.

Cops were called to Shettleston Road shortly before 9am this morning following a report of a one-car crash. 

Officers attended the scene but found no trace of any occupants of the vehicle.

An investigation is underway to establish what happened.

First Bus services 2, 60, 60A and 46 have been affected by the incident. 

Services are being diverted westbound via Shettleston Road, continuing to Old Shettleston Road, left into Fanella Street, and right into Shettleston Road before continuing their normal route.

​A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.55am on Saturday, September 17, 2022, police were called to Shettleston Road in Glasgow, following a report of a one-vehicle crash.

"Officers attended and there was no trace of any occupants at the scene.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
