A new bar and restaurant will soon open at Glasgow Airport with owners giving us a first look at what to expect.
Taking over the space formerly housing the Sanderling Bar, the Bird & Signet is due to open by the end of October creating up to 100 jobs.
The eatery will accommodate up to 500 customers with a significantly increased bar space that will wrap around the Starbucks within the airport’s departure lounge.
Craig Norton, Retail Account Manager for Glasgow Airport, said: “We are really pleased with how the Bird & Signet Kitchen & Bar is looking and we can’t wait to welcome passengers when it opens in the coming weeks.
“The Sanderling was a mainstay at the airport for years and a favourite with passengers given its location just after World Duty-Free in the departure lounge, but the transformation to the Bird & Signet is incredible and I’m confident visitors will love the new layout and surroundings.”
Images shared today to give us a glimpse of the décor planned for the Bird & Signet which takes inspiration from Glasgow’s ‘rich history and culture’ using plenty of greenery as a nod to the ‘Dear Green Place’.
