TWO men who were hospitalised following a reported stabbing have now been arrested.

We previously reported that a report of a knife attack on Pentland Road in Wishaw had sparked a 999 response. 

Police and ambulance crews responded shortly after midnight on Wednesday.

The men, both aged 31, were rushed to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Now the force has confirmed that both have been arrested in connection with the alleged incident. 

One man has been charged and is due at court today. 

 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to Pentland Road, Wishaw, around 12.20am on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 after two men aged, both aged 31 were found injured.

“They were taken to hospital, where one remains in a stable condition.

“This is believed to be an isolated incident with no other people involved.

“One of the men has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

“The other has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
