After being postponed since 2020, the girls were delighted to get the opportunity to finally go this year.

The group competed from 9am till late in the evening and were just one of 120 participating.

Claire said that travelling to the competition was made possible by parents and the local community.

She said: "We just want to thank the community and all the parents for supporting us.

"We exhausted ourselves to raise the money to get to Paris so that we didn’t need to fund the trip ourselves.

"We did lots of fundraising in Castlemilk Community Centre, sold things at stalls, sold football cards.

"And for people that come to buy from our stalls, every little helped."

However, the trip was not just filled with dance numbers and rehearsals.

The girls got to visit Disneyland Paris as part of their trip, as well as dance in the Disney parade one afternoon too.
