A North Glasgow hub has launched a mural that was created by more than 100 locals.

Maryhill Hub, located in the city's Wyndford, has been running the project throughout the summer to decorate their brick wall.

More than 100 residents, children and adults were involved in the creation, supported by North Kelvinside artist Blair Thomson, working with North United Communities and Glasgow City Council.

The finished product symbolises the community's journey from lockdown until now, ready to socialise again.

It depicts children playing, the nearby canal, a tiger and lots of flowers.

Dozens gathered for the launch party on Tuesday, which featured a BBQ, face-painting, arts and crafts tables, and more.

Artist Brian said: "It was quite an exciting process.

"It was much more engagement than we expected and it was great bringing people together and involving them.

"A lot of people said they found painting therapeutic and they enjoyed making art."
