A new store has put up signs on an empty building on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street, indicating a move.

According to the sign on the empty building, am pm local is due to take over the empty unit, which used to be a Sainsbury's.

It is not yet known when the new shop will open, at 219 Sauchiehall Street.

This comes after the Glasgow Times reported that colourful vinyl was put up on several empty Sauchiehall street units.

Glasgow City Council has confirmed that this was part of their post-Covid plan to make the high street more inviting to new businesses.
