Fans have ripped into Lewis Capaldi after he shared a throwback photo of his school days 'bragging' about his perfect attendance.

The Glasgow-born singer, who attended St Joseph's primary in Whitburn, was featured in a newspaper article which celebrated him and two other West Lothian pupils for not missing a single day of school.

Lewis posted a photo of the article which shows him in his school uniform with a long fringe swept across his face, holding his certificate.

Another said: "You always had style."

A third added: "I had 100% attendance, but somehow I ain’t selling out stadiums worldwide."
