A popular vegan online supermarket has announced closure.

Glasgow-based The Vegan Kind (TVK) has been running for nine years and has thanked customers for their loyalty in an emotional Instagram post.

It also read: "Whilst we were hopeful that the recent restructuring would enable us to establish a viable business into the future, it has now become clear that this cannot be achieved.

"Sadly, the realities of the current economic climate have left us no option but to cease operations."
