VACCINATION drop-ins will be available at a number of community clinics across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) from this weekend.

Over the next three weeks, eligible members of the public will be able to drop in to receive their Covid-19 and flu vaccinations at certain clinics.

The service will initially be available to those over the age of 65, front-line health and social care staff, or people who have not yet had a first or second Covid-19 vaccination.

Anne Harkness, NHSGGC vaccination programme director, said: "We are pleased to be offering drop-in services for those who are eligible or who have not yet had their initial Covid vaccinations.

"Previous drop-in services have been a great success and we would encourage those eligible for a Flu or Covid vaccination to attend one of our clinics.

"We would like to encourage members of the public who are eligible for a vaccination, especially those who are under the age of 65, to continue to book appointments through NHS Inform as this will help to avoid potential queues at vaccination centres.

"However, we recognise that some people would rather utilise a drop-in opportunity, which is why we are pleased to be able to offer this service once again.

"I would like to pass my sincere thanks to the members of NHS staff who have been involved in the rollout of the vaccination programme for their hard work and commitment throughout."
