Lewis Capaldi channelled The Devil Wears Prada for a day as he became the creative director of a fashion brand.

The 26-year-old Glasgow-born artist recently stepped into the London offices of online fashion retailer ASOS to direct a photoshoot and model some pieces himself.

A video clip shows the Forget Me singer choosing outfits from a rack for the models to wear before "taking them through his process", offering them advice and inspiration for how to pose.

He told one model to pose "like you're on a Hinge date and she hasn't arrived", while he asked another to smile as "she's a happy gal, she's just won a tax rebate."

In an interview for the brand, Lewis described himself as "someone who takes risks with their fashion choices."

He added: "I just kind of had to take the models through my kind of process.

"I want the clothes to jump off the body and off the page - sometimes I had to jump in front of the camera, let the models see a real master at work and show them what's what."

He ended the interview with a cheeky swipe at online fashion rival Boohoo, saying: "Boohoo, yeah you will be f****** crying."
