A man has been arrested following a 'disturbance' in Glasgow. 

Emergency crews were called to the scene in the city's East End on Tuesday afternoon after the alarm was raised about an incident on Ruchazie Place.

Reports on social media claimed that a police helicopter was circling the area overhead while officers searched gardens of properties. 

They found a 32-year-old man who had been injured and he was taken to hospital.

He received treatment at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and was later released.

Now cops have confirmed that they have arrested and charged the man. 

He is expected in court on Wednesday.

The force also revealed that they are still probing the alleged incident. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.05pm on Tuesday, November 29, police were called to a report of a disturbance on Ruchazie Place, Glasgow.

"Officers attended and a 32-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and released after treatment. 

"A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November 30.

"Enquiries are continuing."
