A Glasgow group is giving away free winter clothes this month.

The Indigo Childcare Group will be running a free pop-up event on Monday, December 5, to bring "high-quality" winter coats and jumpers to those in need.

The 25-year-old group provide youth care, childcare and out-of-school care.

The pop-up will feature clothes for all, including babies and teens, and will be offering some "festive cheer" too.

The group will be offering hot drinks, soup and mince pies and Christmas crafts.

A spokesperson from the group said: "Sadly our cost-of-living survey this year told us that 81% of families are concerned about turning on their heating for fear of not being able to afford daily essentials, so we are delighted that as a result of funding from Glasgow’s HSCP and the support from our generous partners at Glasgow’s The Blankfaces, we have been able to launch the first of a series of events where the local community can come into the warmth, enjoy some Christmas cheer and a nice warm bowl of soup and maybe even pick up a warm coat or jacket whilst they are there."

The event will take place at 123 Castlemilk Drive and will run from 3pm until 6pm.

For more information about the event, you can call or text Roisin, family support coordinator, on 07909 077978.

You can also get in touch if you would like a winter coat but can't make the event.
