A popular cafe chain could move into an empty city centre unit in Glasgow.
Caffe Nero submitted a planning application to take over the site at 26-38 West George Street.
If successful, the coffee shop will serve a variety of sandwiches and cold drinks which may be eaten on the premises or taken away.

A small outdoor seating area is also proposed within a private area to the front of the unit.
Glasgow City Council is currently considering the proposal, with a decision expected to be made by Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
Caffe Nero currently has over 700 locations in the UK and Ireland, including three in Glasgow.
