It’s been a busy season so far for Glasgow’s hospitality industry with a month full of exciting food and drink openings happening around the city.

The holiday season is the perfect time to meet up with friends and family and test out some of Glasgow’s newest venues.

We’ve rounded up the top 10 new spots across the city that people have been buzzing about.

 

Devil of Brooklyn

42 Renfield St, Glasgow G2 1NF

Glasgow Times:

This cocktail bar has been a hit since its opening on December 1.

The menu boasts 32 cocktails with over 50 homemade ingredients.

Burnfield Bakery

717 Pollokshaws Rd, Glasgow G41 2AA

Glasgow Times:

This anticipated collaboration between Thomsons Coffee Roasters and Short Long Black officially opens on December 8 after a sell-out soft launch the weekend prior.

August House

43 Mitchell St, Glasgow G1 3LN

Glasgow Times:

The 'Instagrammable' day-to-night venue from Base Hospitality launched on November 24 with a secret festive bar located downstairs.

Daily Coffee

160 Garthland Drive

Glasgow Times:

The newest coffee shop in the East End serving coffee, pastries, and sandwiches had a successful soft opening last week and is now open daily for business.

Innis & Gunn Taproom

22-24 W Nile St, Glasgow G1 2PW

Glasgow Times:

The new Innis & Gunn taproom had its grand city centre opening over the last weekend in November and gave away up to 5000 free pints until December 11.

Loveable Rogue

10 Whitehill Street, Glasgow, G31 2LJ

Glasgow Times:

The second location from head chef Joe Lazzerini opened on December 4 and will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the East End.

BRU

734 Dumbarton Rd, Glasgow G11 6RD

Glasgow Times:

This new South African-themed bar opened in the West End on November 30.

Named for the South African word for a close friend, Bru will serve a gastro-pub style menu from Wednesday to Monday.

West Side Tavern

162 Dumbarton Rd

Glasgow Times:

The newest venture from the team behind The Locale is set to open later this month on Sunday, December 18.

The new venue will be an American-Italian-themed bar and eatery serving comfort food and curated cocktails on tap.  

The Alchemist

Unit 2, George House, George Square, Glasgow G2 1EH

Glasgow Times:

The Alchemist announced the date for their first Glasgow location.

The bar and restaurant will be bringing their 'molecular mixology' to the city on December 23, perfect for anyone seeking a creative tipple post-Christmas fair.

Malo

This new wine and negroni bar has been teasing its opening on social media, confirming it will be open to the public from December 22.
