GLASWEGIANS woke up to find a layer of snow covering the city today.

The Met Office issued an amber weather warning for snow early today which is in place until 12pm. 

Heavy snow is expected to cause disruption, with travel delays on roads likely as well as the stranding of some vehicles and passengers.

Some delays and cancellations to rail and air travel are also likely.
