PLANS for a cafe and a multi-use community facility with an outdoor sports area have been approved.
The plans for Maxwell Park Pavillion were submitted to Glasgow City Council on behalf of Pollokshields Burgh Hall Trust.
They include a cafe/ events space, a multi-use community space and toilet facilities for people using the building and park on a vacant site in Maxwell Park close to Maxwell Park train station.
There were also plans for an outdoor community sports facility, featuring football and basketball goals, and covered cycle parking.

The plans have been approved by the council, subject to a number of conditions.
These include the hours of operation for the cafe and community facility not exceeding 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, and bat roost and nesting bird checks being carried out prior to work beginning.
The project was initiated by Friends of Maxwell Park and The Pollokshields Burgh Hall.
