Virgin Media has provided an update after a broadband outage impacted households across Glasgow.

We previously reported that Virgin customers across the city had taken to social media to hit out at the provider.

The issue, which was reported by hundreds of customers on Wednesday, December 28, has now been resolved.

A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We are pleased to confirm that we have now restored services in Glasgow following an issue which affected some of our customers for a short period of time.

"We apologise to those who were impacted.”
