A GLASGOW dessert shop is selling a sought-after energy drink for £10 a bottle.

Tubbees Dessert Lab, on Paisley Road West, is selling the hugely popular Prime energy drink with a hefty price tag after importing it from the USA.

The viral drink, created by rapper KSI and WWE wrestler Logan Paul, has been flying off shelves after Aldi announced it would be selling Prime for £1.99 a bottle in the Specialbuy section from December 29.

However, Tubbees, which has the Orange and Lemon and Lime flavours in stock, is selling it at "five times the price" due to the cost of sourcing the drink.

A note displayed in the store window read: "Due to demand, we have sourced Prime, this has come to us at five times the price as it's imported from the USA."

A spokesperson for Tubbees Dessert Lab told Glasgow Live: "The Prime we have brought in has been imported from the United States, it's being sold to us five times the price of the official UK retailer.

"We have brought this in due to demand from customers, and at each sale the price is explained.

"We hope to get better stock shortly."
