Chief Superintendent Stevie Dolan, divisional commander for Lanarkshire, said: “Abuse and assault is not simply part of the job for police officers and will not be tolerated.

"These officers were carrying out their roles, serving local communities and protecting the public, when these incidents happened.

"We will continue to work to improve officer safety and with our criminal justice partners to ensure those responsible are held to account for their actions.”
