A cat with "few teeth left" living at a Glasgow charity is looking for a new home.

Mrs Wolowitz, named after the beloved character from the TV show The Big Bang Theory, was saved from a farm "in a sorry state".

She had sore eyes, terrible teeth and dirty ears. During her treatment, the majority of her teeth sadly had to be removed.

The animal is currently recovering at Cats Protection’s Glasgow Adoption Centre.

Cat care assistant Helyn Nichol said: “Although she really was in a terrible state when she was discovered she has proved to be a quiet little soul.

"As to be expected, she is hesitant around humans but she will tolerate us being present and cleaning around her. She does not like being touched so it’s unlikely she will ever want to be fussed over.

“Mrs Wolowitz would be best suited to an adult-only home with no other pets where she can be cared for without the expectation of affection. Because she only has a few teeth left she will need to be on a wet food-only diet, and needs outdoor access away from built-up areas.

”As with all felines that leave Cats Protection’s care, Mrs Wolowitz has been neutered and vaccinated and is up-to-date with all her flea and worm treatments.

“We have been really busy with adoptions recently and it’s great to see the cats going to new homes so quickly, we’d hate for Mrs Wolowitz to be overlooked because her traumatic history means she’s not a typical lap cat.”
