BUSINESSES in Glasgow city centre have been forced to close early due to water supply shortage.

Earlier, the Glasgow Times reported that shocking footage has emerged showing an entire road flooded in Milngavie.

It is understood that this has had a major impact on water supply in the area and Glasgow.

Businesses on Sauchiehall Street were forced to close early in line with regulations.

Steak and Cherry and Glassy Central are just some of the venues closed for the night.

Others, like Desserts and Driftwood, are able to remain open for the moment but the owners say they are keeping a close eye on developments.
