A popular Glasgow-based restaurant chain has teased a new venue beyond the city.

Bucks Bar, which is known for its fried chicken, waffles and burgers so huge they need to be served in trays, has suggested that they are opening their fourth restaurant soon.

The American-style eatery is based in Glasgow with restaurants on West Regent Street, Trongate and Cathcart Road.

On Monday the staff shared a photo of the Greyfriars Bobby statue in Edinburgh with the caption: "Stay tuned buckers. Bucks Bar 4 coming soon."

A venue in the Scottish capital would be Bucks Bar's first restaurant outside of Glasgow.

The post has since prompted hundreds of likes and comment from fried chicken foodies urging the team to continue expanding.

One person wrote: "Stirling soon!"

Another said: "Inverclyde please."

A third added: "Aberdeen definitely needs a Bucks."
