A man has been rushed to hospital following a road crash in Glasgow this morning.
The Glasgow Times previously reported that South Street in Scotstoun had been shut down following a 'traffic accident' at around 6.55am.
Police have now confirmed that the road was closed to allow emergency services to attend the scene of a two-car crash close to Balmoral Street.
A male driver from one of the cars was later taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
There are no reports of any other injuries as a result of the incident and South Street has since reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.55 am on Tuesday, January 31 2023, police were called to a two-vehicle road crash on South Street near to Balmoral Street, Scotstoun, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and a male driver from one car has been taken to the QEUH for treatment .
"No reports of any other injuries.
"South Street was closed between Balmoral Street and Harland Street to allow emergency services to deal with the crash.
"The road has since been re-opened.
"No further details at this time."
