A woman was allegedly assaulted during an 'attempted robbery' in Renfrewshire yesterday.
At around 3.15pm, cops were called to Main Road in Elderslie following reports that a man had assaulted a 43-year-old woman and tried to gain access to a vehicle.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident and the man is said to have fled the scene when passers-by stopped to help.
Police have now released a description of the suspect and are appealing for witnesses who may be able to assist with their investigations.
He is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, slim, 5 ft 8 and wearing dark clothing.
