Incredible drone footage has emerged of a Glasgow fire as 999 crews are currently on the scene.

The blaze broke out the NWH Waste Collection site in the East End.

Nuneaton Street and Clyde Gateway, are closed due to heavy smoke in the area.

George Allison posted the following drone footage of the incident on Twitter.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.35am on Wednesday, February 8 to reports of a bin fire at Nuneaton Street, Glasgow.

“Operations Control immediately mobilised one appliance to the scene and on arrival firefighters found a commercial building well alight.

“A further five appliances and specialist resources were mobilised. Crews remain on the scene as they work to make the area safe. No casualties have been reported.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.05am on Wednesday, February 8 2023, police were called to assist Scottish Fire and Rescue with road closures following a fire on Nuneaton Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow.

"Police and fire remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing."
