A MAN has been hit by a car in Glasgow city centre.

Emergency crews treated the man at the scene on Argyle Street before rushing him to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The incident occurred shortly after 12pm on Thursday, February 9.

The man's condition is unknown.

Argyle Street was closed off where the man was being treated.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a collision involving a car and a male pedestrian on Argyle Street in Glasgow shortly after 12pm on Thursday, February 9.

"Emergency services are currently at the scene."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 11:59 to attend an incident on Argyle Street, Glasgow.

"Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
